Skunk Ape Footage

It wasn’t the first time that Dave Shealy had seen a Skunk Ape in its natural habitat. His first sighting occurred when he was 10, in 1974, as reported by the Smithsonian this month.
“It was walking across the swamp, and my brother spotted it first. But I couldn’t see it over the grass—I wasn’t tall enough,” he said. “My brother picked me up, and I saw it, about 100 yards away. We were just kids, but we’d heard about it, and knew for sure what we were looking at. It looked like a man, but completely covered with hair.”
But in 2000, he captured a video of an alleged Skunk Ape running across the Florida fields after apparently getting spooked by the sudden human presence videotaping the incident.
