‘It Had Glowing Red Eyes’: New Bigfoot Sighting in Missouri

HILLSBORO, Mo. — A man claims he saw an unknown creature last April peeking through the window outside his bedroom.

The eyewitness, who didn’t provide a name, says it was 3.35 a.m. when the event allegedly happened.

“I heard something moving around outside my room and looked outside my room window which is 9 feet and 2 inches tall and saw glowing red eyes,” he told Cryptozoology News.

The next morning, the man said, he saw a track “1 and 1/2 feet long footprint facing 90 degrees away from the house with five toes”.

He also claims that there was a 15 inch track about 30 yards away from the window where the incident occurred.

“The first track was in loose dirt and the second track is in stiff mud that only something 700 lbs could imprint. Both tracks had an arched foot,” he continued.

Photographic evidence of the tracks wasn’t provided.

The witness described the creature as having a “head the size of a watermelon”. No other physical features were observed. The animal stood there for thirty seconds and then left.

The man also explained that he felt as though the creature “were curious” about his family.

Hillsboro, located in Jefferson County, is a small town of Missouri with a population of about 3,000 people.

According to the BFRO, other sightings have been reported in the area.

In 1980, a group of people using ATVs reported seeing the beast near the town of Hematite.

In 1999, a man looking for mushrooms near Festus had a close encounter with a creature that “swung arms back and forth as it walked like a ape”.

In 2009, a person was reportedly driving back home after a family event, when he saw a “7 to 8 foot tall ape like animal running on it’s hind legs”, charging at his vehicle in an “aggressive” way next to the town of Catawissa.

Incidentally, the residents of Jefferson County are currently under voluntary evacuation fearing a dam could breach between De Soto and Hillsboro.
