The Bigfoot Project uploaded an audio file to YouTube Monday of an alleged phone conversation between a driver and an emergency operator.
“Man driving swerves to avoid hitting a very big 2 legged dog type creature, they end up in the ditch and call for help from OnStar, what happens while they are waiting for help is terrifying!” the Bigfoot Project wrote on the video’s description.
The recording, which lasts about 1 minute and a half, starts with a text on the screen describing what is about to take place before the actual phone conversation begins.
“Onstar emergency, this is Kyle speaking, how can I help you?”
A driver, who appears to be in distress, breathes heavily into the phone microphone.
“Hello??” continues the operator.
“Something just ran in front of us in the road! We are in a ditch, we’re…we’re rolled over.”
“How many people are there in the car and, is there anyone injured?”
“There’s two of us,” the driver replies. “I think…I don’t think we have an injury,” he adds.
“Is the car on its top, or it’s wheels, or what?” the operator asks.
“No…it’s kind of sitting on its side.”
“Well, one moment please while I contact the emergency services.”
“OK,” answers the driver, who starts coughing.
“OK, the state police should be on their way in a few minutes, is there anyone still OK?”
“Yeah, I think we are OK.”
Then a curious operator asks about what kind of animal ran in front of the car.
“I don’t know what the hell it was,” the driver says, “whatever it was, it was big…it looked like a grey big dog, standing up”.
“Was it a bear maybe?” wonders the operator, noticeably intrigued by what he just heard.
“Maybe, I don’t know…oh my god!”
Suddenly, a female screams in the background, the sound of an animal is heard-similar to a bear or a lion’s roar-, and the line is lost.
“Sir, hello? Are you still there? Sir?”
The audio certainly contains signs of it being a bad taste prank, but the YouTube user doesn’t provide enough information regarding the veracity of the file.
Many questions remain unanswered; how did the Bigfoot Project obtain this file? What is the location where the accident occurred? What time did it happen, day or night?
The Bigfoot Project labels itself as the “#1 resource center for all things Sasquatch”.
“I believe there are things in this world we just do not understand. I have seen things that I cannot comprehend. There are people who would rather live their life not knowing the truth for they feel knowing will disrupt their way of life. My job is to provide you with the strongest evidence of the unknown so you may take what I present and you make your own decision,” they wrote on their YouTube channel.
