Sasquatch Spotted in Mission,BC Canada. A Video Analysis.
Wednesday, July 31st, 2013
The advent of mobile phones that incorporated cameras -also known as smart phones- have definitely contributed to the influx of Bigfoot videos across the internet. Pranksters, teenagers, and even the older ones like to put up a show for the world to see. This is not always the case though, and on certain occasions, the videos are either beautifully crafted into hoaxes or we are looking at the real Bigfoot.
Today we are analyzing the video of a Sasquatch filmed in Mission, British Columbia in Canada. We are looking at a video taken a long distance from the target. We will try our best to determine whether the figure spotted on the footage is true or fake.
This is the original video:
The picture below certainly shows a bipedal creature. This frame shows it standing in an upright position, characteristic of human walking behavior. Bigfoot sightings and clearer videos show that the animal usually walks leaning forward, similar to the way apes walk.
The following two pictures also show a feature that could mean there is a man inside a costume. As usual, the length of the arms, including the movement, are human-like. The arms are not as long as they should be in other more credible Bigfoot sightings. Notice the familiar way the target moves its arms as the entire thing had been rehearsed prior to the video.
Indeed these details don’t prove the video has been manufactured as a hoax, it only shows that due to the long distance of the subject from the camera, and the incredibly human-like behavior of the creature, we are most likely looking at a person and not an animal.
What do you think?

Giant Insect Seen on Passenger Flight
Thursday, July 25th, 2013
Flight X. A giant beetle. Its green shiny body opened up to show a pair of four feet veiny wings, flapping up and down at an incredibly slow speed.
That’s what Marco Gessati, a 32-year-old doctor, said he and about ten other people saw during a flight from Rome to Boston. For privacy reasons, the flight number and the airline have been omitted. Let’s just name it “Flight X.”
“I know it’s hard to believe,” explained Gessati, loudly over the phone with a strong Italian accent. “I know what I saw, you know? I have never seen anything like this. Big, big insect. Out of this world.” He had finally agreed to a phone interview after a copious e-mail correspondence. But there was too much information to be shared and he had something else to share with me: Sketches of the creature. We decided to meet at a restaurant in Boston.
Scientific literature often refers to giant insect fossils that existed during the Carboniferous period, approximately 300 million years ago. The Meganeura, extinct dragongflies with a wingspan of 26 inches, would be tiny next to what witnesses described happened during Flight X.
Gauthier Chapelle and Lloyd S. Peck (May 1999) wrote an article on this subject “Polar gigantism dictated by oxygen availability”. Nature 399 (6732): 114–115. doi:10.1038/20099. They explained that gigantism during the Carboniferous period could have been possible due to the atmospheric oxygen being as hight as 35%. A giant insect could not survive today’s decreased oxygen levels. They speculate that’s what probably happened that lead to their extinction.
To think of an insect of these dimensions existing today, would turn any scientist into a heretic.
My flight wasn’t too comfortable; I had kept my eyes open most of the time, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Boston’s bug.
I met Dr Gessati at the airport. A short, fair skinned man stood next to a vending machine. He was sipping from a bottle of water when I noticed his big glasses. His hair reminded me of George Constanza. This seemed to add more interest to the crazy entomological adventure I had just got myself in.
The restaurant was clean but loud, and the cold-artificial air felt good when we stepped inside the black and white tiled floor; The high summer temperature had taken a toll on us trying to catch a cab back at the airport. We sat and ordered some food.
“What I saw is not normal Michael,” said Gessati in a nervous tone, tapping the table with his chubby fingers.
He kept silent every time the waiter came by; it was obvious the doctor wasn’t looking for unnecessary fame. Perhaps -I thought- every man of Science feels this urge to tell others what they can’t explain with microscopes and other machines.
“I fly quite often, and quite honestly I hate it,” he explained, “but you gotta do what you gotta do when you are a doctor. You have to keep up with updates, conferences, etc”. His demeanor had suddenly become somber. “It was a different type of flight, the food was incredibly bad, at some points the air got so hot that I would have difficulty breathing. Funny a doctor saying that uh?” .
The waiter came back to bring the food and Gessati became nervous once again. I began thinking I wasn’t going to get anything out of this. In this line of work, it is very common to come across strange behaviors, and there is a 50% chance that the information received is not exactly what one would call accurate. I knew he was a reliable witness though, but he was visibly disturbed, afraid of talking somehow. I thought maybe his brain was playing games with him as he was trying to reconcile his scientific mind with the sight of a giant beetle flying 30,000 feet over the Atlantic Ocean.
The waiter left. “I think I got a panic attack. Interesting thing is the two people behind my seat and eight others in front of me were showing similar symptoms too. If it was just me, I don’t believe panic attacks are contagious right?” He said, lifting his glasses with his middle finger, back to where they belonged . “It felt as if time had stopped, I don’t know how to explain it. That’s when I saw it. Bam! against the window. Some people turned their heads towards the noise, while others were oblivious to it. But I saw it. It had attached to the window with a clawlike structure on its big black legs. There were hairs and hooks and some sort of adhesive pad that apparently helped the animal stay on the plane.”
He finished his pasta salad, vegetarian, and the waiter came back and took the plate. I ordered some coffee and ice cream. He asked for more water and some sugar. To this day I have no idea why he wanted the sugar for.
“Then it unfastened its legs from the glass and his green, metallic body opened up. Two wings came out, I should say “rolled out”, like a rug. They were translucent and I could see it full of red veins. It looked like tree branches, or a leaf. The thing glided for about 2 seconds then it started flapping its wings, slowly. It was incredibly slow, not like a regular insect where you can’t even see the shape of the wings. His eyes stared at us, looked like a red flashlight” He stopped.
There was an old man siting on a table next to us. He was wearing a black suit and he had a suitcase at his feet. He had been listening to us, and he seemed interested in the subject. This made the doctor more timid than before. I didn’t care much while eating my ice cream. He switched subjects for a while and he told me about new medical advances and some tidbits of Italian culture. Then we went back to the creature.
“The sighting lasted, I’d say…maybe less than 50 seconds. After it, the bug flew away. Then those ten people and I began talking about what happened. I exchanged e-mails with one of them that claimed to have taken a picture, but he never replied. I never liked the way e-mail addresses work, you get a letter wrong, and that’s that. Or maybe he doesn’t want to send it to me, I don’t know.”
Gessati asked the waiter for a pen and paper and he began to draw what he saw (excuse the lack of color, but the waiter didn’t have crayons handy):
I paid for both meals and we said goodbye.
Marco Gessati is an intelligent man. Why anyone would make up something like this is beyond me, specially when the story comes from a doctor. I wasn’t able to contact other witnesses from Flight X.
What doesn’t make any sense is, according to the gigantism-oxygen relationship theory, the higher you go up in the atmosphere, the less oxygen there is. How could a big bug like that survive the high altitude levels? Could it be some of the giant insects living during the Carboniferous period survived extinction? Maybe they evolved at a fast pace and were able to adapt to the decreasing oxygen levels present in today’s atmosphere? But if this was true, where do they live? In caves? Up in the mountains?
Gremlins have been reported throughout war and peace. True or fiction, there are reports all over the world that speak of these creatures.
Do you believe Dr Gessati’s testimony?

Missouri Lake Bigfoot Picture Analysis
Monday, July 22nd, 2013
There could be a bipedal creature walking along the shores of Table Rock Lake in Kimberling City, Missouri. The original pictures were posted on YouTube by ParanormalDestruction. An anonymous person sent them a series of photographs which allegedly show the ape’s back and profile, never the front of the body.
We decided to analyze them.
The following are the original pictures:
The photographs were not clear enough for us to analyze them, so we tried to enhance them in order to focus on details:
First, observe the length of the arms on the picture, they are not longer than a regular human arm. Apes tend to have longer arms and walk in a forward position. The subject here shows an erected position that corresponds to that of a human.
Second, notice there is not a clear shape on the facial region. It could be its head is turned looking towards the woods instead of looking at the people taking the pictures, but most animals would be staring at the “predator” and keep a close eye on them. The escape route would have been defined at an earlier time, prior to coming out to the water. Most animals behave this way, but this is even clearer when one realizes we are talking about a highly intelligent creature such as an ape.
This second picture is interesting. It closely resembles the Patterson film only at a lower detail. Considering the age of the Patterson film and the camera used on it, one would expect a better quality on these pictures taken in 2013. The old film gave us details of the face, this one gives us almost no details.
However, a detail that can be taken into account is the foot’s sole. It is a little far to see, but it looks as if the entire sole was a flat piece of artificial material. There are no distinct shapes on it.
Notice the arm’s length again.
Is it possible that the people taking the pictures didn’t have the capability of taking a video instead of still photographs? Not likely, but possible. According to the pictures and the direction taken by the subject, it gave the photographer enough time to take a video instead, where more details could have been revealed, and making a hoax a more difficult task. Perhaps they were carrying an old camera with no video capability. Who knows?
Also, one would think a creature such as Bigfoot would at least try to hide faster than this, but maybe the person taking the pictures was hiding.
Cryptozoology News believes that these details suggest there is a person hiding inside a costume.
We appreciate your input, please feel free to share it with us on the comments below.

Pig-Man on Cannock Chase
Wednesday, July 17th, 2013
“When night falls, enter the woods at your peril,
For inside lurks something worse than the devil.
Avoid at all costs the gathering place, where at midnight the pig-man roams on Cannock Chase.”
Most people know about Bigfoot, Grassman and Chupacabra, but only a few have had the privilege to hear the story of the Pig-Man. Out of those few people, only a handful have personally witnessed the creepy beast.
The legend tells there is a monster lurking in the woodlands of Cannock Chase in Staffordshire county, England. This mysterious spot, cataloged by many as a close cousin of Roswell and Area 51, has kept the locals in fear for almost a century.
View from Castle Ring on Cannock Chase, site of many werewolf and pig-man sightings. Photo credit: Lee Brickley
According to the story , after WWII, British and American military scientists joined forces to conduct a series of strange experiments in the region. Closely related to the eugenics movement and similarly to the Nazis modus operandi, the tests went too far. Allegedly, they abducted a woman, hypnotized her and finally impregnated her with an artificially created human-pig DNA seed, with the hope to obtain a creature they could perform their tests on.
This pig-man business is not as far fetched as it sounds: In 1999, scientists suggested that pig transplants were safe for humans, and they are currently working on xenotransplantation at different levels and different species. Granted, the ethics and suffering of these animals for the “greater good” of humanity is unjustified, as they end up spending their entire lives suffering painful tests in small cages and eventually dying a horrible death.
This is what they thought would probably happen to the creature born out of the experiment between a human and a swine, but they were wrong. The scientists in charge of this horrible test monitored the woman closely, and after ten months they determined the fecundation attempt didn’t work out.
A year later, they were shocked to find out that her pregnancy had just been delayed. The result was a human baby with an incredibly huge head and a big snout resembling that of a pig. Later, this strange being escaped and hid into the woods, away from prejudiced human eyes. For decades, children and adults alike have reported the sighting of a strange tall man with a swine face roaming around the Cannock Chase woods.
Lee Brickley, a 26 year old local, knows the story well. He has been investigating the legend for almost a decade. On his book -UFO’s Werewolves & The Pig-Man: Exposing England’s Strangest Location, Cannock Chase- he describes multiple witness reports about the critter.
“I first heard about the pig-man through the rhyme when I was at school - so did many of my friends and many local people I’ve chatted to.” He says.
Brickley told us he received an e-mail from a source wishing to remain anonymous. This person claims that the half-man-half-pig story is the result of a military tactic in order to keep the population near Cannock Chase away from the secret facilities.
“The person who sent me the email refused to meet with me and so I have not included him in the book,” however, a waiter at a restaurant told the author that Pig-Man is real, and that the story regarding the coverup tactic is fake; there is a real creature roaming Cannock Chase. Brickley was able to meet with the waiter’s father, who confirmed the same story.
“The man I talk about in the book didn’t believe the military made up the rhyme and had a whole interesting back story about where it came from …. but the military connection is the same,” says the author. ” Perhaps, even if it was a story created by the military, it is so engrained in the psyche of local people that they genuinely do see him.”
Brickley believes the waiter and his father were telling the truth, although they could have just been deceived in some way.
I asked him if he could share with me some interesting witness report. He said there is one in particular that called his attention. A couple contacted Mr Brickley and provided him with a first hand account of an encounter with the beast.
After meeting with the couple, the author of the book determined that they were telling the truth. He told me that he has become friends with them ever since.
The following is the original e-mail describing the incident:
“Dear Mr Brickley,
I’ve seen something rather odd on Cannock Chase that I think
may be of some interest to you. In October 1993, whilst walking around
Castle Ring, myself and the wife heard some strange noises coming
from the surrounding trees. Thinking it was likely to be a local couple
enjoying an illicit liason, we quickly moved away from the sound and
headed back in the direction of our car. Upon reaching the steps down
to the carpark, I happend to turn around and lay my eyes on the strangest
creature I’ve ever seen. This thing was seven feet tall, from the neck down it looked
like a man, even wearing clothes, but it’s head was far too big for a human and
it had an elongated face with a snout-like nose. When I pointed it out to my wife,
she became terrified, so we started walking more quickly towards our car and got
inside. That’s when we started to hear this really high pitched squeeling noise that
sounded like a pig being killed. That really spooked us….Have you ever come accross anything like this before?
Regards,
John & Anne”
The problem? There are no pictures of Pig-Man. Zero physical evidence other than credible reports for three quarters of a century.
However, Brickley tells me that Pig-Man is not the only strange thing happening in the area. He says there is a spot in the region called the Pye-Green Tower on Cannock Chase, where UFOs, strange lights, werewolves and an unusual amount of reports of the military sneaking around during the early hours is fairly common. The tower, built during the Cold War by the British as a backup communication system -fearing an EMP attack from the Soviets- could be hiding more than mere electronics inside.
So what’s behind the Cannock Chase mystery? What does it really hide? One would assume that if Pig-Man was real he would be dead by now, specially after suffering such a deformity. Maybe he met with other creatures that are the result of other failed experiments. Or it could just be that, just like Mr Brickley suggests, what people are actually seeing is a Bigfoot.
If the story is real I would definitely think twice about venturing into the woods of Cannock Chase. I always wondered where M. Night Shyamalan got his movie’s idea. Reality defeats fiction one more time.
Lee Brickley’s book is available online at the Amazon stores in the US and the UK and it is worth the read. He is currently working on a new book.

Bigfoot Kidnaps Man for Ten Hours
Friday, July 12th, 2013
It is not unusual for us to receive e-mails related to Bigfoot sightings, but when a sighting becomes a close encounter of the ape kind, now that’s a different story.
Jason Richardson is an avid 48 year old hiker. He has done the Appalachian trail and climbed countless European mountains. He had never imagined the situation he found himself in during a simple hike in Northern California.
It was a full day hike consisting of 9.5 miles across the beautiful South Lake Tahoe, ending in Mount Tallac’s summit, which sits at 9,735ft above sea level.
Richardson’s experience made him feel confident that he would be able to finish the trail in less time than a full day. He carried enough food and water to manage for about 17 hours and just in case something went wrong, he carried a small-one person camouflage shelter attached to his backpack.
“I had a clear idea where I was going, I carried enough food and water for a day and I determined the trail wouldn’t take that long. Boy was I wrong.” Says Richardson in the email. “I gotta say the first ten hours of the trip were enjoyable, it is a good time of the year (late Spring) to do some bird watching and you can spot some cool animals here and there. Of course, you always have to keep a close eye on the bears, but carrying strong pepper spray gives you an edge should any bear problem arise.”
He had reached for a water bottle, hanging on the side of his backpack, when he noticed the awkward sound; a guttural, human-baby voice.
“Hell, I thought I should check, it could have been an abandoned baby or who knows,” he describes what happened next, ” Then, as I put the bottle of water down on the ground, I headed to the bush where I thought I’d heard the sound. When I woke up I had no idea where I was and my head hurt wonders.”
Jason was inside a small cavern, and the sound of running water nearby drew him back to his full senses. When he looked up he saw an image he will never forget.
“There were two big bear-like creatures, standing up, seemingly arguing with each other in that same guttural tone of voice I had heard earlier back on the trail. I felt the back on my head and I noticed I had some blood. Something or someone had hit me hard enough for me to pass out and the carried along the trail inside a small cave or something. Their paws didn’t have claws, and I can tell they resembled human features. To be honest I wasn’t able to make out fingerprints or nothing, but what struck me hard was that they were completely hairless up to the elbow. Their torso and legs were covered in thick red hair, and their feet were even hairier, I couldn’t see any toes. No nails neither.”
If this story hasn’t caught your attention yet, wait to see what Jason has to say about the creatures’ upper bodies.
“I was terrified, I had no idea what was going on and it looked more like a nightmare or something. I thought maybe I had eaten something wrong or the water had gone bad, and I was hallucinating. But I wasn’t, what I was watching was real. My hands and ankles were tied up with some type of plant material. They stood tall, I calculated probably between eight to ten feet, and I wasn’t able to see their heads well. Then they approached me, and I pissed my pants, literally. I am not ashamed to say this, I was so fearful I had no idea if this was it you know? That’s when I saw their heads. Their necks were hairless and they reminded me of vultures. Their heads had red hair, but also black feathers or I don’t know what it was, but it looked like feathers to me. Their eyes were dark, very dark and big as they got close to me. They weren’t communicating with each other anymore. The tallest one grabbed me by the tied legs and pulled me across the cave, dropping me on the cold surface. I was silent, I was afraid if I talked it would make them upset and make it worse. Then the shortest one came by and kicked me in the chest, I almost lost conscience again. They left me alone for five minutes or so and when they came back they were carrying what looked like tools, made out of wood and stone. They set my hands and legs free but I didn’t move. I sat back, with my back on the wall of the cave, and I could feel water run inside my shirt. I think I was getting sick. Then they approached me again and grabbed me by the arms and legs and they threw me outside of the cave. They threw a sharp rock at me and it hit me on the back. I ran like I had never ran before. I didn’t have a backpack, food or water. I found the trail and got back to my vehicle. When I checked my watch I realized I had been captive for about ten hours. I didn’t report this incident. This is the first time I share the story with someone. I was embarrassed to talk about this. As I was driving back home I saw two kids with sticks playing by the edge of the woods, next to the road. They were very tall and had long hair. I don’t know what to think anymore.”
Was this a couple of Bigfoot or was it something else? Was Jason Richardson under the influence of some drug? Real or not, the truth is this is a story nobody would like to experience. Oh, and who were those kids?
Thank you Jason for sharing your experience.

Video Analysis: Swedish Bigfoot Footage
Tuesday, July 9th, 2013
Upon the finding of the mysterious footage taken by a dash-cam in a snowed road in Sweden, we decided to take a step further and proceed with a simple analysis.
First, let’s refresh our memory and watch the original footage:
Our target is the black shape you see at the end of the video, staying next to the tree on the right. After digitally enhancing the image, this is what we obtained:
It appears poodles are very popular dogs in Sweden, and naturally, every now and then, they get lost.

Ohio Grassman Footage Analysis
Wednesday, July 3rd, 2013
The show Mountain Monsters has released new footage of the Ohio Grassman. The short video shows an eight foot silhouette that resembles the evasive creature.
Further analysis by Cryptozoology News reveals that there is indeed an animal on the picture.
Original footage sequence of still frames:
Let’s now compare the original picture with the digitally enhanced ones:
The first picture shows the animal watchful, looking for threats. Notice the ape face and the hands grabbing the wall of the shed.
The second frame indicates what we are seeing is a gorilla. As simple as that. We will compare this same frame to one of a real gorilla below.
Remember most USA states don’t require a license to have exotic animals.Obviously, the picture doesn’t prove anything, and it could be something else, but it all points at the animal being a large primate.
What do you think?

Geologist Claims Nessie just Bubbles
Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013
An Italian geologist believes he has found the answer to the mystery of the Loch Ness monster: bubbles.
Luigi Piccardi’s brilliant idea -originally incubated in 2001- has resurfaced back into mainstream science, and it has been picked by institutions as prestigious as Scientific American.
Apparently, scientists feel fairly confident to attribute the hundreds of pictures, videos, eyewitness accounts and some fossilized structures to a geologic fault. That’s probably because witnesses don’t know the difference between bubbles and a lizard’s head.
The plausible theory of the existence of a surviving dinosaur is just not acceptable; bubbles seem more reasonable.
According to Piccardi’s theory, alleged Nessie’s sightings have coincided with cycles of increased seismic activity. It is interesting that this theory is acceptable whereas the theory of solar activity as a catalyst of earthquakes - almost exactly based on the same premise - is considered laughable. It surely fits their purpose.
Hopefully this doesn’t affect tourism much.

Man Discovers New Species of Bird Within City Limits
Monday, July 1st, 2013
The truth could be right here, in front of us.
Researchers’ habit to wander away from urbanization, hoping to find a new specie hiding somewhere within the thick bush of a remote jungle, can become a distraction; similarly, astronomers dream of exoplanets and galaxies beyond a telescopically documented universe, while the answer to their questions lies on planet Earth.
Cambodia, painted by the blood generated by a recent civil war, was a difficult place for researchers to investigate. Now, after the war, Mr. Mahood has found a new bird species: the Cambodian tailorbird. The amazing part is that the bird wasn’t even hiding, it had always been there, in the city of Phnom Penh.
This example shows why so many cryptids remain undiscovered. For years some scientists have been successful at creating a taboo that has infected those whose moral values are stable enough to try to find the evidence of a Bigfoot, a lake monster or a giant lizard.
If we open our eyes and stay alert, we will be able to see the full frequency of the natural spectrum.
The truth is in front of us.
