‘Flying Snake’ Photographed in New Mexico

MADRID, N.M. — A man in New Mexico released a series of photographs depicting what he believes could be a “flying snake”.

Clay Sheff, a 55-year-old horse ranch manager from Madrid, told Cryptozoology News on Tuesday that he was checking the trail camera photos he has installed at the ranch when he found the oddity.

“I check the game camera every few days, just to see what kind of wildlife is visiting us,” Sheff said.

The three photographs, which appeared not to have been doctored, show an unidentified creature flying in front of the camera.

“It looks like it could be a Corn or a King Snake,” he said about the pictures, reportedly taken in 2012.

“I don’t know what to make of it,” said Sheff. “It is a weird, unexplained mystery.”

The photographs are reminiscent of the the flying rods phenomenon, a widely popular during the 1990s and early 2000s that was later determined by experts to be insects flying across the camera at different speeds, thus creating different shapes and optical effects on the camera lens.
