Reptilian Humanoid Startles Bikers in the Sonoran Desert

By Cryptozoology News February 13th, 2014

TUCSON, Ariz. (Cryptozoology News) — A group of three mountain bikers reportedly saw a reptilian humanoid last week in the middle of a trail located in the Sonoran desert.

The bicyclists were riding the 24 Hours in the Old Pueblo race course, a 17 mile trail, when they spotted the creature.

“It’s a tough one,” said G. Johnson, 34, a self-described businessperson from Tucson. “It is a 24 hour track, so you better come prepared with more than enough food and water. There are times you just wanna go back and wish you had never got there in the first place. But when you see what nature has to offer you here…well, those regrets dissipate rather quickly.”

Johnson states that he and two other friends were half way into the track when something “terrifying” made the group consider cancelling the ride.

Desert“We had been riding for about… I don’t know maybe nine hours, taking breaks every now and then. Then Michael says he needs to stop for a minute. We are waiting for him to finish when all of a sudden we see this long figure walking across the trail. He is maybe about 6-foot tall, very very skinny, and it had an awkward gait, like a monkey…or a man with a disease, almost robotic, kind of,” he told Cryptozoology News.

According to the eyewitness, two of the men were watching the strange animal while the third one, Michael, was unaware of what was happening.

“Then all I remember about Michael is him saying what the hell is that? Or something like that. But he sounded far away. He probably used a different word instead of hell. Thing is, we had somehow walked a little towards the thing. Don’t ask me why…maybe to look at it better, not knowing what it was.”

Then, Johnson says, the creature “heard Michael speak” and, apparently taking notice of the “intruders”, its head took an eerie 280 degree turn.

“He stopped and it made eye contact with me and I could see him clearly. The eyes were kind of like a snake’s, but black and with a yellow stripe in the middle of the eye. It had green and red scales on the face and head. The red color was kind of like the same as the desert sand there, and it looked like it had a sandy texture too. It didn’t have a nose, only two holes on it. I couldn’t see any ears or hair. A red mouth that looked like it had blood around it, but it didn’t look like it was bleeding, it looked like a pattern. It reminded me of a chameleon, but it looked like a person too.”

Allegedly, the creature raised its “long arms with strange looking claws that looked like a branch full of thorns” and waved at them, emitting a loud chattering sound with its teeth. Then it rapidly ran away, in a fashion that reminded the witness of “a lizard trying to hide.”

“He looked like he was examining us and then he ran into the desert. We thought about going back the same way we came, but we thought it didn’t matter, since we were in the middle of the track anyway. We were scared, to be honest. None of us had ever seen anything like it. It lasted only a few seconds, but it felt longer than that, at least to me. So after we talked about it for a while, we decided to go on and finish the track.”

Johnson believes that what they saw was real and not a product of their imagination. “When you read these stories online or watch them on TV, well, you think man these people are crazy, on meds or something or in need of attention, but this has made me a believer. There has to be more of them out there. If there’s one, there’s gotta be two at least right? I know most people won’t believe a word I said, that’s the way I used to be. I don’t blame them at all. But they are out there. Now I’m not saying this is an alien or a chupacabra or anything like it, all I’m saying is I have never seen anything like it in my life. But I am no biologist so what do I know.”

Cryptoterrestrials
Book: The Cryptoterrestrials: A Meditation on Indigenous Humanoids and the Aliens Among Us

Theories of subterranean “alien” bases are popular in the UFO community and describe the entities as humanoids of reptilian appearance. Southwestern Native American legends tell the story of underground creatures living next to humans for thousands of years. People living around the New Mexico border report seeing strange lights in the sky and bizarre phenomena. Indirectly creating a thin line between cryptozoology and ufology, writer Mac Tonnies, in his book The Cryptoterrestrials: A Meditation on Indigenous Humanoids and the Aliens Among Us, proposes the idea that certain “alien” sightings could be attributed to the existence of a group of humanoid species endemic to Earth.

What they saw, was a Chimera. A half human half reptile. Reading their story, I believe they’re telling the truth. People are going to see more Chimeras as time goes on, half human the other animal(s).
What most people don’t know is there is a demonic agenda behind these creations, God help us all!!

    • Frank says:

alien-human hybrid. Only the “alien” is from another dimension, not another planet. Demonic indeed.

      • True Witness says:

Yo, Captain: Every now & then I respond to mental defectives like you who pompously announce while drooling down your chin: “There is no God!” & supply ZERO PROOF. In order to prove your heavily medicated opinions scientifically – you would be required to research & examine ALL of KNOWN REALITY to prove your assertions. Please post a link for us to vet your research documents & databases. In the meantime, STFU, & let sincere people post and comment on the excellent findings of the cryptozoologynews research & editorial staff. :-)

        • kenbo11 says:

Wait a min. You want proof of the nonexistence of something? That’s not quite how it works. Usually the onus of proof lies on the existence of a thing. I could just as easily say there’s no proof that the flying pizza monster does NOT exist, therefor it’s really!

        • Carcai says:

Anyone who posts angry comments like True Witness is simply envious and insane based on the fact you don’t have to believe anything this article is saying, so you should STFU. Douchbaggery is what you are preaching, hopefully no one follows in your footsteps. Hopefully you don’t have offspring. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries.

    • Captain Bauld says:

“God” has nothing to do with this. There is no “God” and the horror that awaits us is beyond imagination. There is nothing you can do.

      • dr_mabeuse says:

There is no “you” either, so I wouldn’t worry about it.

      • Seijinvet says:

Logically one cannot prove a negative. A second point is that roughly 80 % of humanity has belief in God in some form. To dismiss that belief is a foolish act of dogmatism. It reveals a mediocre train of thought.

        • jordan skochinski says:

how so preytell, if anything having 80% of humanity believe in a god based on the sole fact of faith seems to reveal much less thought, ” ill just believe in it because if otherwise ill go to hell” i believe this is the sole, and only reason people are religious, they may try to rationalize as to believing in the morals of religion, but really these morals are of basic human kindness, most people religious or not agree with the morality of religion. i dont believe in god at all, but the reason why is not because 80 percent just believes, i disbelieve in god because it just is illogical, first off there are many religions, buddhism, daoism or taoism if you prefer, hindu, a bunch more, and the essential god believing religions as judaism christianity catholic and muslim, with these many religions whose to say which is correct and which is not, and with the three most prominent religions, they are all basically the same, judaism follows the old testament, christianity follows the new, and just for the record that makes no sense either, how can their be 2 testaments, one where god is wrathful, and one where god is much more relaxed and doesnt murder people as punishment. how can their be 2 personalities and done give me that old “we just cant comprehend gods wisdom” bullshit, religion holds humanity, i am not saying without religion thered be no wars, not saying that at all, but the spanish inquisition, the salem witch trials, the fact that people will ignore evolutionary factual evidence just because it doesnt co-inside with god existing, these problems are holding humanity, and society back and that is why i dont believe in religion, maybe you should think about why you believe in god other then faith and not wanting to burn in hell incase you happen to be right, and not be so ignorant to say just because one does not agree with the majority of people, means he is wrong. because it is just untrue

        • Netersaba says:

All that proves is that “roughly” 80% of Earth humans do not have the insight or logical capability to think themselves out of a paper bag. “Roughly” 80% of Earth humans copy their beliefs from this moldy book or that dusty book which was written centuries or millennia ago by stone age peoples who had almost NO understanding of anything substantial.

This is “roughly” the logical equivalent of using the owner’s manual from a Roman chariot in an impossible attempt to understand, repair and pilot a starship. Having observed the activities of Earth humans, it is fair to conclude that “roughly” 80% of them could not find their ass with both hands and a GPS. I have little respect or tolerance for their backwards beliefs and willful ignorance.

      • Brad says:

The horror that awaits arrogant, IGNORANT people such as YOURSELF is beyond YOUR imagination. Not the imagination of those who know the deal. Try reading a bible. It will probably take you a few years and then another few years to actually put just a few of the pieces into today’s perspective. It’s ALL there. Everything.

      • boocat says:

Of course there is “God”, everything was made by Something, Whatever.
And cheer up, things are just not that bad. Be kind to others and you won’t go to hell when you die. Simple, see? Like attracts kind. You end up where you belong.

    • me that is all says:

im gonna have to say, your use of the word chimera is in valid. a chimera isn’t a half human/animal creature. a chimera is a combination or THREE different animals. such as in greek mythology’s version, lion, goat and snake.

    HORSE MANURE !

  3. mike says:

The best source for info related to this topic is a book by Wm. Michael Mott called “Caverns, Cauldrons, and Concealed Creatures”. Mac Tonnies uses this book as a reference for his book, might as well go to the source and skip the middle man. Mott’s book has a lot more information on this subject.

    • Kevin O'Keeffe says:

Both Mott’s book, and the one by Mac Tonnies, are absolutely vital, and each contains a lot of information that is not available in the other. People should read both.

  4. lighthouse says:

thanks for that book title Mike..
I know Red Elk has spoken of reptilians living underground,, how he`d plug up their deep holes when came across them, lol.

  5. nubwaxer says:

total BS. i smell hoax, same as bigfoot, etc.

  6. ROY KNIGHT says:

I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A CREATURE, BUT I AM CERTAIN THERE ARE A LOT OF THINGS OUT THERE AND IT IS A GREAT THING THAT PEOPLE WHO HAVE SHOULD TELL THERE STOTRIES.
BACK IN THE EARLY FIFTIES MY BROTHER AND I CAME ACROSS A HOOP SNAKE AS WE CALLED IT. AS WE APPROACHED IT PUT ITS TAIL IN ITS MOUTH AND ROLLED INSTEAD OF SLITHERING AWAY. WE TOLD SOME KIDS AROUND US AND WE WERE LAUGHED AT. I ONLY WISH WE HAD THE TECHNOLOGY TO HAVE TAPED APICTURE TO SHARE. THANKS FOR SHARING.

  8. marTmon says:

Mutwa the 80[?] year old African shaman [David Icke's interview]mentions these same reptillians going back many many years…then [of all things!] Mutwa mentions seeing the original movie Star Wars and asks David how they knew the Reptillian that he and his wife saw in the movies bar scene[!!] I suggest the bicyclists contact David Icke…Mutwa and David Icke interviews are on YOUTUBE for starters…Best of luck

    • Don Johnson says:

Much of what David Icke says is true, but beware for his agenda is unclear since he is in fact a reptilian shape shifter.

  9. JimBob says:

Isn’t it funny that now that 99% of people have an HD 15 megapixel camera in their pocket all times there has been absolutely no conclusive evidence for their existence? No chimeras, no demons, (especially no demons) no hoop snakes as it would be physically impossible for the snake to maintain the rigidity to form a hoop their bodies are too heavy.. You create in your mind what you believe you will see.
The human mind is a wondrous and terrible thing

    • Joseph Barnes says:

I agree. I note that in this age of cameras everywhere, no ‘good’ photos of UFOs or strange creatures, much less videos, have come to light.

We all know about the ‘good’ and ‘valid’ UFO photos which came out after 1947, and which were taken by ‘honest folk with no reason to hoax anyone.’

Now that everyone has a camera in their phone, which also has video capability in most cases, and point-and-click cameras are everywhere, we oddly see no ‘good, valid’ photos or videos of anything.

  10. Mike says:

Living here in Arizona there are constant UFO sightings
in the news. And I have heard the Indian stories
of these reptilians as well as other “not from here”
beings. I have never seen any but have heard some
friends that were riding their sand rails in the desert
that have seen what these guys described.
They however didn’t share their sightings with the
world because of the ridicule they thought they
would recieve. But knowing them I believe their
story. One of them is a respected doctor in Phoenix.
Makes me wonder what else is out there most of us
    don’t know about.

  11. Jed Powell says:

“The human mind is a wondrous and terrible thing” is a classic intellectual put down, stated by someone who usually knows nothing of which he speaks.

  12. madaline says:

in the face of being ridiculed, I thank you for sharing this. there will ALWAYS be people of non believers. so be it.
when they meet one, they too will be believers.
    it’s a ‘whatever’ deal here.
blessings. enjoy your moment with the unknown.

  13. radioredrafts says:

Why is it when some people see, or hear, or hear/read of, or otherwise exprience something they can’t explain, and it doesn’t fit in their little box of things that are most likely not a threat, they unimaginatively assume it/they is/are here as a result of some demonic agency?

  14. billy_mavreas says:

re: the ‘hey ! use that camera!’ issue that pops up from time to time.
assuming dudes had a camera on them (they were doing a long ride, riding light, food, water, gear only) part of their story entails some ‘moving closer to entity’ aspect, which involves some mini trance-like state. third buddy left behind sounded far away. so there is an inner consistency to the story leaving out cameras.

now, i would imagine that if anyone of us saw something that in a moment shredded our long and lovingly held ideas about reality, held us in a state of trance or terror, we just may not have the presence of mind or even will power (them monsters are said to have… POWERS ;) to snap some pics for the fine folks of internet.

maybe reality has to pop directly for each individual and not via any mediated experience. is that so hard to fathom ?

    thanks for indulging me
    billy

  16. Preston says:

These guys must of had some good acid.

  17. Matt Sowerssrsbry says:

This really is just another argument for making photography and video recording smaller and easier to access at a moments notice.

One day in the future, personal photography will be so advanced and convenient that we would probably be able to take a high-resolution picture just by blinking an eyelid.

Then any time anybody says that they saw something, they’ll at least have some kind of proof. And if they don’t have any people will say ‘No pictures? Why not? All you had to do was blink.’

  18. Candy says:

There are definitely other intelligent beings present on our planet and have been for ages. I’m very careful about where I choose to gather information for study & who I regard as ‘credible’. After taking the time to look into the vast amount if info available online, I no longer judge these unexplainable reports and things no longer seem quite so ‘far fetched’. Just because these unexplained beings, crafts, etc haven’t been officially documented or published as ‘this’ or ‘that’ doesn’t mean they don’t exist. I started off watching videos I accidentally came across on you tube called ‘witness testimony’ from the Disclosure Project- witnesses from high ranking military, ex CIA, astronauts, pilots… Very credible people. Then I began reading from Disclosure Project.org site and watched the Sirius Disclosure Movie. These are the very basics for information for anyone skeptical and your eyes will be opened to things going on around this world you never would’ve thought about!

  19. ras says:

    Not acid but probably peyote.

  20. Boris says:

I agree with the two other posters about Mott’s book. It really is an eye-opener and contains a ton of information.

Something is definitely going on on planet earth and has been for a loooong time. It’s time to stop the scoffing and start thinking logically. Where there’s smoke there’s fire.

  21. billy_mavreas says:

‘One day in the future, personal photography will be so advanced and convenient that we would probably be able to take a high-resolution picture just by blinking an eyelid. ‘

last thing you’d do with a monster or ufo in front of you is blink !

  22. Desertdweller says:

i think they just had too much peyote

  23. ArabianFabian says:

And somehow no one had the time to take a photo of this ‘creature’???

  24. bakeca Trieste says:

    very interesting article…nice done

  25. David says:

The comments here that talk about taking photos, well I’m sure if I was in such a situation as this the last thing on my mind would be quick I must take a photo. Even if I did manage a photo the skeptiics would dismiss the photo as a fake because skeptics by their very nature have their perception of reality imprisioned in a closed mind.

  26. dr_mabeuse says:

It’s pretty unlikely that aliens would resemble known terrestrial life forms. Just how would evolution arrange that? On the other hand, the tendency of the brain to see what it expects to see is pretty well-documented.

  27. CJ says:

these cyclists should indeed contact David Icke; he’s like the demigod of the reptilian phenomenon. I’ve a feeling that Mr Ickes services are going to be in overwhelming demand rather soon. Especially if humanity continues on the same destructive path as it’s on right now.

  28. Rob Frankel says:

Since when can mammals and reptiles mate? Just asking….

  29. an Captaen says:

i believe them 100%,,i saw something here on my property in tennesee i couldnt explain but i watched it come and go,,i believe them!!!

  31. Einherjar says:

Reptilians have been here alot longer than we & actually donated DNA to create ‘US’ …The surface slave people who toil. Every human has 5-10% Reptoid DNA…Look up the ‘Reptilian Brain’ or medula oblongota & then check out a pic of a croc brain…Same thing! This is why our skin peels as well. This bugger was probably on some surface duty from a nearby underground base…By the description was a lower echelon reptoid. They are far more advanced in thinking than humans…who are mostly not very smart.

  32. Will says:

9 hours into the ride would have been oh, about 9p.m. Just saying…..

  33. BBS says:

re the point about why people who carry phones don’t take pictures during the moment of encounter. While in Paris last year, my wife and I were sitting at an outdoor cafe, and Johnny Depp walked past us. He even dallied in front of us, wearing an extraordinary outfit, accompanied by an incredibly beautiful and beautifully dressed woman. We could have jumped up and said hello. We both had iPhones and could have taken dozens of pictures. Instead, we were just in the moment of “wow, I can’t believe this is happening” until they were suddenly gone, and we both looked at either other and said “I can’t believe you didn’t take a picture! Now no one will believe us!!!” So there you have it. If I can’t even take a picture of freaking Johnny Depp, I guess I can forgive these bikers for not snapping a picture of a freaking alien. Would you? No, your eyes would be popping out of your head, and you’d be kicking yourself black and blue afterwards.

  34. Craig S. says:

The guy says “maybe 9 hours”, that doesn’t mean it was exactly 9 hours. They were obviously disoriented at that point and time is a strange factor in the desert.

Besides they weren’t there for the annual event itself (which was a few days ago) they were there completing the trail on their own or having fun or who knows.

  35. Grant says:

Well written piece of fiction. Should sell some books :)

  36. Scott says:

    They’re just Argonians, calm down.

  37. Martin says:

Many times I visited a remote canyon in NE AZ sacred to local tribes and filled with ancient rock art. On one of these visits we came across three-towed, slender, lizard-like tracks in the sand that were about 16 inches long. Disappeared over the rocks.

  38. Cindy says:

If I saw something like this and had the presence of mind to think about taking a photo I WOULD NOT DO IT! Last thing I would want to do is give it a reason to come after me!

  39. celsiusrising says:

It never ceases to amaze me when people who weren’t there, feel competent to dismiss testimony from people who were there. Perhaps the “debunkers” are simply unable to wrap there minds around an event that does not fit their preconceived paradigm, or, it is a result of being scared shitless that it may be true. In any case, if you were not there, you are not competent to hold forth on the subject. Instead of explaining the uninvestigated, try investigating the unexplained first.
    Otherwise, shut your pie-hole.

  40. Okay I have done research on these sorts of things for many years. If it is valid I do not think it would be wise to write it off as demonic. Do not judge a book by its cover. Plus I actually found evidence that God exists but not in the way the Bible describes him. God does not get angry. He is LOVING. About the camera issue, the witnesses could be scared stiff, mesmerized, or even prevented to do so by some kind of pheromone. Here is another suggestion: If I took a picture of a creature like that or some other ‘unusual creature’ why would I reveal to others an oppertunity to hunt the creature down to earn some stupid money. Plus, since people are still judging things they do not understand (or do not want to understand) I would sadly be responsible for the massacre of such a fascinating creature. It might have feelings!

  41. Angel says:

What makes people think it’s demonic, it waved didn’t it lol & if it was so bad it would of hurt the bikers but didn’t? Until I meet one I hold back judgement. Lose the fear their are many races here already above & below…

  45. Wasme says:

I was there it happened to me, and boy was I scared.

  46. marion says:

This happened many years ago and I can’t even remember the year, but I think it was in the 80’s. I was in downtown Toronto, pretty sure it was St. Clair and Deer Park area. I had either been swimming or exercising there which I used to do (I live in the West end of the city and that area is more central in toronto). A car drove past me and turned right into a driveway in front of me and two men? looking like reptile heads on them were in the car…both of them were looking at me. When shocked at something, I just laugh, even innappropriately at times, just the way I am. Anyway, I thought, it must be a costume ball or halloween costume, but it was very weird thinking about it afterward. I never gave it much of a thought until later years when I heard of such a thing as reptilian aliens. If so, it seemed ridiculous that they would be driving a car!
