‘Jersey Devil’ Photographed in Pennsylvania
Pa. — A Pennsylvania construction worker says he photographed an unknown creature he believes “had the exact marks” of the Jersey Devil.
32-year-old R.W. told Cryptozoology News on Friday that he was driving on the highway about an hour outside of Philadelphia when he and his friend spotted the creature.
“I was driving back from Philadelphia. I don’t really remember the exact part I was at,” he explains. “Me and my friend were in the car and we saw what seemed to be a massive vulture in a tree, it was getting dark out, so we couldn’t make out the features well at all. I told him to get his phone out for a picture.”
The Pennsylvania man said the creature began taking off the tree when his friend took the photograph.
The image, submitted to Cryptozoology News and seemingly taken from inside the vehicle, shows a blurry and rainy highway with a few blurred cars and a dark flying animal on the top left. The alleged animal appears to be less blurry than the elements in the rest of the elements present in the photograph.

R.W. submitted this photograph he claims to look like the Jersey Devil.
The man said the creature was very large and had “bat-like wings and goat features”.
“It was extremely creepy, but we figured we must have just seen it wrong, because of the rain and darkness, but upon looking at the picture it looks like no bird or bat I have seen before,” he said about the alleged November 26th 2015 late evening encounter.
Image analysts tell Cryptozoology News that based on compression characteristics and EXIF metadata, the image initially appears to have been processed or edited with a photo editor software.
The Jersey Devil is a purported flying biped reputed to live in the southern New Jersey area. The creature was featured on the fifth episode of the first season of the popular 90s American TV show “The X-Files”.

Just so everyone is aware that is a moth on the window shot close to look further away. It’s a clever trick but it’s not the Jersey Devil

For those who cant see a moth: Look at the raindrops on the glas and the sharpness of the creature, compared to the blurry trees in the distance. The “Jersey Devil” should be blurred like the trees, even more, when it is moving sideways.

10-4 Simon, whatever it is stuck to the windshield…late Fall in a rainstorm..looks like an soggy chunk of oak leaf beaten up by the windshield wiper…but I love a good Bogeyman story, ya no?

I live here in N.J and had witnessed the so called Jersey Devil back in the late 70s as a kid on several occasions. One time the creature was jumping from tree top to tree top. And another occasion was while late night fishing with my friends along the Delaware River we all witness a similar creature on top of the tree eating what looked like a big fish and after we walked over the huge creature with his big wing span and texture skin was watching us as we examine the remaining remains of what to be later known as a sturgeon fish. So yes I know a creature does somehow exists in N.J.

Your statement that you saw THE Jersey Devil “several times” is ludicrous! In a lifetime, if you are extremely lucky, you may see a cryptid maybe once…but several times. I don’t think so. Just my opinion.

I live in SE Wisconsin. In July 2006, about 20 miles east of Milwaukee, 4 of us witnessed a very large humanoid, bat like creature fly in front of the car. The skin was leathery, wings like a bat, I’d say about 7 feet long. I do believe there’s more than what meets the eye out there and I keep an open mind.

I believe a pterodactyl’s wings are more straight and thin; they don’t curve like the wings on this creature.

Funny, driving down the highway something flying out in front of you, and you have time to catch it with a photo just before it even gets to the left side of the road. I’m on the moth on the window side

Whatever it is , it is not anything more than a hoax - another one - I do believe there are creatures and beings out there as when I was a kid I saw a UFO - nothing exists like what I saw that is “man-made” so I am aware of “things” that are beyond the public knowledge…but officialdom certainly knows there is much more out there than “we” are told or aware of.

I agree with Iker, there are so many mysteries in this world and so much we just do not understand, people should not be so quick to label what we do not understand as a hoax . Planet Earth has been around for billions of years, and keeps her secrets well.

I have seen many unknown things deep in the woods over my 60 years some made me lose control of my bladder and run like the wind. All made me wish for a camera. That being said my 8 year old grandson can fake a better photo

I don’t think it’s a moth as with the car travelling at speed it would hav gon splat or bounced off in a blink of an eye. If it was just flying out the trees the picture should hav blurred wings. There maybe something in the barons but that isn’t it

Whatever it is appears very large in relation to the trees. I hope it isn’t faked. Like Fox Mulder, I want to believe.
I recently found an excellent article on the Jersey Devil that summarizes the known sightings by year from the beginning to the present. I’m not ready to dismiss them all as imagination, mistaken identity or hoaxes. You should reprint the article here; it’s very informative.
